Dental Implants
Welcome to a Permanent Solution for Missing Teeth
Missing teeth do more than affect your smile. They can impact how you eat, speak, and feel every day. Dentures offer a common solution, but they often fall short when it comes to comfort and long-term stability. At Anderson Dental, we provide a more advanced and lasting alternative—dental implants in Phoenix—to give you the confidence and function you’ve been missing.
Dental implants offer a secure, long-lasting way to replace missing teeth by anchoring artificial teeth directly into the jawbone. Whether you’re considering implants for a full arch or just a few teeth, this option delivers the strength of natural teeth without the slipping or clicking common with conventional dentures.
What Are Dental Implants?
Unlike traditional dentures that sit on top of the gums, implant-supported dentures are locked into place using integrated posts. This results in a more secure fit, improved function, and the preservation of bone tissue that naturally deteriorates when teeth have been missing.
How Dental Implants Work
Depending on your individual case, your implant denture may be fixed (permanently attached) or removable. Some patients prefer the flexibility of a removable prosthetic, while others enjoy the ease and convenience of a fixed set. Either option provides vastly superior support compared to traditional dentures.
Who Can Benefit from Dental Implants?
Most healthy adults with one or more missing teeth are potential candidates for dental implants. To qualify, you need healthy gums and enough bone volume to support the implant posts. In some cases, bone grafting procedures can be performed to enhance your bone structure before implant placement.
Candidates are typically individuals who:
– Have one or more missing teeth
– Want a more stable, long-term approach than regular dentures
– Are concerned about facial changes and jawbone deterioration
– Practice good oral hygiene and receive routine dental care
It’s also important to address health factors such as smoking or gum disease, which may affect healing and long-term success.
What to Expect from the Process
Our approach at Anderson Dental is thorough and patient-focused. We begin with a full dental evaluation and 3D imaging to chart your anatomy and determine the best course of treatment. Your personalized plan will detail how many implants are needed and which type of denture will best suit your lifestyle.
For example, patients needing a full upper or lower set may receive four to six strategically placed implants to support a complete arch. In select cases, we even offer Teeth-in-a-Day, allowing you to walk out with functioning teeth immediately after implant placement.
Healing typically takes a few months as the bone fuses to the implants. Once integration is complete, we secure the final abutments and design your custom-fitted denture with care for comfort, aesthetics, and function.
Why Dental Implants in Phoenix Go Beyond Aesthetics
Choosing dental implants in Phoenix does more than complete your smile. They also help stimulate the jawbone, preventing it from shrinking over time. Traditional dentures do not provide this benefit, often leading to a sunken facial appearance or difficulty chewing.
Implant dentures restore proper function, improve speech, and eliminate the worry that your teeth might slip out of place during a meal or conversation. Feel the freedom of eating, laughing, and living without thinking twice about your teeth.
How Long Do Dental Implants Last?
Dental implants are built to last. Made from durable materials and integrated into your bone, they’re designed for decades of service with proper care. That includes daily brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits.
Keep in mind, while the titanium implant can last a lifetime, the denture that sits on top may require replacement or adjustment due to natural wear over time.
Daily Maintenance Tips
Caring for dental implants is simple. Stick to a consistent oral hygiene routine and take the following steps:
– Brush twice daily with a soft-bristled toothbrush
– Floss once a day around implants and natural teeth
– Visit your dentist for checkups and cleanings at least twice a year
– Avoid chewing on hard objects like pens or ice
– Notify your provider of any discomfort or changes

I had a preconceived notion that all dentists were the same. My last experience at the meat market corporate chain dentist office was very impersonal and not a pleasant experience so I hadn’t been to a dentist since (about 5 years ago).It stated off a little rough … More with a first time new graduate taking X-rays and panel. Everyone starts somewhere and it was about what I expected from a dental office, same ole experience all over again but it changed when Daniel came in to help out. She took charge training the new guy with competence and patience. She redid some X-rays and I was impressed with her competence and experience to efficiently take the X-rays required.Dr. Anderson was great in showing me what issues I had, recommendations for treatment and options to choose from explaining things that the guy in the chair could understand without all the medical jargon only a hygienist would know. The exceptional service didn’t end there. I’m sorry I didn’t catch or remember her name but the front desk lady called my insurance company to check on coverage and was competent dealing with the insurance company. After about the 3rd time of repeating the same information I would have been rampaging with rage but she was patient and got what she needed to help me with coverage for the next procedure. Dental visits are still not my favorite idea of a good time but they all made the experience more enjoyable than my last experience at the meat market places. It definitely made me want to take care of myself better.

We are Canadian snowbirds, and having great dental care is important to us whilst spending 6 months in AZ. Dr Anderson was able to correct my sleep apnea by identifying my narrow airways and replacing CPAP with a mouth appliance that is so much easier to use and … More clean- and I get a good night sleep and wake feeling wonderful!
